I know 5 from Piedmont went, and they were all asked what side they wanted. Coming from Piedmont they all wanted the old US Airways side and they were all awarded 190 PHL which is what they wanted. Looks like they are trying to work with all the new hires on what they want. 737 NY was also awarded. If I talked to someone I'll get the make up of the class.

From what I'm hearing they are short staffed all over. Hiring over 700 pilots next year.

True...that's what I've heard too. Isom was quoted saying we'll hire around 750 next year. And there's a graphic floating around Jetnet stating we'll hire 1,500 by the end of 2017. Good news...

Latest outlook for LAX calls for a bunch of additional jobs in LAX by March 2015.

I think the odds are high that guys hired early in 2016 might get LAX. Crazy considering how senior it was until recently.

Men and women I know personally are getting LAX while still in training.

Thanks. The orientation page on aapilots says 5 went to LUS and 13 went to LAA. Looking to see where the LAA contingent is going.

Correct. Poorly worded on my part - I wouldn't be stunned if new hires get LAX as their assignment on Day 2.

December award had LAX going to the bottom of the list for guys already on the property. Good news and probably still available going into early 2016.

The 5 or 6 PSA that went to the LAA side all got LGA 737.

I have a feeling LAX will keep going junior. People just aren't moving toward Cali anymore.
The water issue is a serious concern.
Also.. it's growing.. Total base from 534 FOs to 552 From Oct. 1 to Dec. 2.

Same FO head count increase after the new year. And in the left seat. Generates movement.
