Actually the guys I ran into are flows from PSA and Envoy. So they are new hires bit transitions.

The math looks like it might be the back filling due to the addition of w/b flying into LAX.

Based on the company's statements the general trend is expected to continue for several years.

Required flows? -

AE's 20/month
PSA is 8/month

If that's correct it leaves the potential for 12-22 OTS.
Actually Piedmont's flow will increase also to about 5 a month.

Is 500 the number who are actually taking the recall, or the number of those eligible?

Around 900 are eligible for recall. No one knows how many will accept. Those that didn't already accept lose out on 2 years longevity. The last chance recall notices start in May. There are a lot not coming back.

Wrong. Envoy is 50% so with your number of 40-50 per month, it would be 20-25. PDT will be at 5/month soon. PSA is also only 5/month not 8/month. In a month of 50 new hires, a minimum of 25 are from envoy, then 5 from PSA and then 5 from PDT. That leaves a max of 15 OTS, although likely less as they're trying to push envoy guys through at more then 50% to drive our longevity down.

What..... a whole two years out of 14? I guess that is further proof that AAL doesn't really want them back, do they?

Sorry my post was in jest, I should've added a sarcasm tag .

If we had an SLI by then it would probably help their decision but without that I'm not sure how many will roll the dice. Would suck to be stapled below a new hire like the previous one!

Hey, we're both somewhat right and somewhat wrong.

AE is 50% but AE can cap it at 30/month for the 824. They can cap the next group at 25/month. The third group is 35% of AA's monthly hiring but can be capped at 15/month.

PSA is "almost 100 a year". I'm guessing 8/month is correct.

So a class of 40 could be 20 AE, 8 PSA, 5 PDT and 7 OTS.
A class of 50 could be 25 AE, 8 PSA, 5 PDT and 12 OTS.

And as you mentioned AA can hire more from AE/PSA/PDT than the published minimum.
