They're all American Airlines aircraft now, does that email mean LAA side? I'm guessing you live in an LAA domicile. For those that are worried about being based on the wrong side of where they live, take the long view. You'll likely be able to switch between the two (three really) sides in a year or so. It's not the end of the world to commute for a few years. I'll probably be commuting for the rest of my career, BFD.

I received a CJO from AA today. Video interview in Jan, face to face in March. It was a long wait but it seems like things are coming together. Best of luck to everyone else.

Absolutely nothing!! Sorry if I made it seem that way. It will all be the same soon anyway and there are positives to both. I was just hoping to avoid commuting. Just thankful to finally be coming aboard. Id go anywhere and fly anything at this point. Was just excited to get my first choice.

Yes the class is mixed between LUS and LAA. Nice they emailed and tried to accommodate each person. Leads me to believe it will be a sizable class for sure.
