It sounds like you guys are actually being assigned a "side" earlier than in previous classes. When I got the email confirming my class date in May of this year, they asked which side we preferred, but no one actually ended up with a choice. They assigned guys living in PHL to AA and others who live in DFW and LAX got US.
We found out just a few days before class if we were assigned to AA or US. Hopefully they've switched it to allow more people to choose what works best for them.

I'm glad they didn't forget us either. It was a long wait for the CJO (9 months) after the f2f. I'm definitely accepting the job offer. I don't care if I go to AA or US. Currently I'm sitting in the Middle East flying combat missions. I have no idea what comes next but I can finally exhale.

From what I understand they will try to accommodate what side you want all through 2016. Hear they will be running classes of about 40 every two weeks in 2016. I'm sure there will be some slow months but enjoy the ride for all those hired.

Here's a complication for the OTS guys - recallees reduce the OTS count but don't impact the flow count.
Rough WAG is 300 OTS in 2016 minus recallees.
Company WAG is 100-150 will accept recall by the drop dead date of May 6th. Leaves 150-200 OTS slots.

Now we have the same management team saying anywhere from 700-800 next year with 750+ a year pretty much indefinitely. Yes, this is with the SLI, PBS and other staff shrinking synergies quickly approaching. Yesterday in the crew news, Parker/Isom were also complaining about the "glut" of wide body orders and adding overcapacity (the 787 having more seats than the 767), but also saying "don't worry, we're going to take them, we HAVE to take them."
Who the "H.E. double hockey sticks" knows...
