Curious as to how many people in our status there may be? Hearing rumors that 4th quarter could look a little brighter as far as continuing the process. Looking forward to it.

At some point, the flows will have to give...if pressure remains on the regionals to keep recruiting, they won't be able to let that many flow and avoid shrinking. I think Centerline is right...spring things should be looking more favorable for OTS hires.

We've got a guy in my reserve unit who's an Envoy pilot. They are telling him he'll flow in 4-5 years. I told him that's probably optimistic, at best.

Well, up to a point, there will be no "give" in the flows, due to the fact that the flows are coming over at a rate determined by an arbitration award.

After the "824" flow over, who knows?

I don't think anyone working at Envoy needs anyone else to school them on how not to be overly optimistic about anything that company is telling them.

You would be seriously mistaken believing this.

There are throngs of Envoy pilots believing just about anything they are told, especially if it is sweet enough. In fact, Envoy has at least one ALPA rep and several other questionable characters on this forum actively selling Envoy based on the most optimistic projections, temporary positive changes and slick ads. It's really gotten quite pathetic both in the willingness to promote such nonsense and the willingness to believe it. I guess each new generation of pilots simply must make their own mistakes and get burned. The saddest part is that this particular mistake has been made repeatedly in the past and either the present crop are too clueless to notice it or have embraced denial to such a point, they are unwilling to accept it.

It also seems there will always be a handful of misguided and self-serving pilots more than willing to exacerbate this dysfunction by happily dragging others down this primrose path.
