There are 1104 now. Sooo, that's a net gain of 107 pilots in 38 months or 2.8 a month.

I'll leave it to someone else to figure out how many new hires, retirements, and "other" departures there were in that time period.

From what I can tell, most of those gains are really in the last 6 months. 31 Dec 14 seniority list shows 1023...

For June there were NO rsv only lines in ANC. In May there were three but I think those all went to guys with greater than three years at Atlas. All pretty much say R2 on the bid packet but that can be switched to R1 prior to the rsv starting. The 747 does not have R3 (might have had a few very rare exceptions to this).

Somewhat misleading numbers. 1 Mar 15 seniority list showed 1044, 40 of which had been hired after 1 Jan 15. So thats 1004 or a gain of 7 over almost 2 years. Almost all the growth is new hires.

Now, if you CAN get the company to buy you a ticket to, say, CVG to pick up a company flight to ANC from there, that's a great deal for you. You won't be hit by imputed income in that case, since CVG isn't your base.
Don't have the CBA handy, but I seriously doubt OAJ is an approved Gateway airport. Wilmington or New Bern, more likely.

Going to CVG to ride an ANC flight may well be cheaper since it isn't imputed, but may cost you time waiting for a company flight. Getting to ANC isn't easy from the east coast in any case, not unusual to lose 1 or 2 days off to get into position.

What Galaxy said ...

There's recently been a big push to increase the numbers going through the schoolhouse. Atlas is fighting retirements (about 30 a year) and a significant amount of attrition all while operating in what seems to be an understaffed status.

Meanwhile, Atlas is capitalizing on the opportunities that have arisen since the demise of Evergreen, North American, World, and others. There is a slow but steady increase of airframes and hours but not nearly enough pilots to keep up with the demand.

OAJ is actually an approved gateway.

BL if I'm gatewaying from a small airport in Easter NC, OAJ to ANC can I expect a confirmed ticket all the way to ANC? Or will they potentially get me to another location to link up with a company aircraft IOT get to ANC? Also I thought it was business class or better....not coach?
If you are in Atlas pilot, I would recommend contacting someone from the Travel and Hotel Committee to get a proper answer...this may not be the proper place for this discussion unless you are trying to figure out if Atlas is a good fit for you or not.
