Has anyone successfully attempted to use known crewmember access points without wearing their uniform? The KCM website notes the policy change effective 13 Jan 15.

The KCM barcode card is just a convenience and not necessary. Just show them your passport and crew badge and they punch it in manually. I don't even carry the bar code card any more. Manual entry has worked for me every time whereas the bar code scan was hit or miss.

That worked, thank you Bruin. The bar code scan was also hit or miss for me too. Now when I go to the KCM stand do I tell them Polar Air Cargo?

Same for me. sometimes it works on scan number one, at most I've had to scan it 5 times. they always try to manually enter it to help me. heard from a rumor that it was a problem with our IT department

I just went through the SFO KCM checkpoint in civilian clothes. Yay. No problems. This time. It seems to be 50/50 success rate. I looked at the computer screen on the way through and it showed Atlas Air.
