Default Class Dates

October interview with a Feb. class assignment... Is this indicative of the general wait for class assignments? I'm with the group who received "pool" letters this past Friday from an interview ealier that week. Great strategy to call the Friday before a class. I guess I have something to do on the 19th!

2-1 class for me. Atlas has sent me my flight itinerary and online training access, but no hotel info yet.

Great congrats! How long did you tread water in the pool? Look forward to meeting everyone.

Late November interview followed by late December class offer for Feb1. It was nice to have the 5 weeks notice but what I've heard is that if you're ready on a dime you could sneak in earlier. I requested at least 2 weeks notice.

New hire training hotel is either Holiday Inn Doral or Staybridge Suites. They share a common area, pool, and you get breakfast daily at both hotels and dinner at the Staybridge Mon-We'd. Holiday Inn guys can go to the dinners too and most do.

No, although I have friends on both fleets who are FO instructors. I just like keeping up with current events and helping new guys learn the ropes.

Any idea why Atlas is hiring so many pilots?

I'd guess because we've been turning down work due to lack of pilots for the past year+. They are always looking for new business...but we need pilots.

Because what ATPCliff said and that American, Delta, United and Fedex are hiring like crazy.

Anyone knows which classes are currently getting their IOE on the 747?
