Amen, the 747 is a graduate level, not a stepping stone airplane, and INTL freight takes a bit of seasoning too.

Hi, could anyone be so kind to tell me how Sr the LAX base is with Atlas? About how long it will take before a new hire could hold it?

Most Jr. pilot currently holding LA base has been here 9 months. The base is very senior. Your mileage will probably vary.

CapV - you seem to have some good intel on hiring, training and the like. Are you teaching at the training center?

When you say info sent out, do you mean internal or to the poolies? When I called and talked to KF on the 22nd, she told me there was a class tentively scheduled for March 14, and another on March 21. I didn't ask for aircraft type.
