Your quals are pretty close to what I had coming in too (so is your screen name!). Like doverby I didn't get any questions related to the lack of PIC during the interview, although I know others in the same boat who got some wwyd if you were captain type scenarios. Easy stuff.

At the job fair I went to about a year ago, the recruiter looked over my resume and said it was exactly what they were looking for. Your being able to show a pattern of career progression is more important to them than PIC.

Hope you get the call soon!

This goes back to the discussion about HR hiring those who won't be able to get picked up at a major very easily. They're

This goes back to the discussion about HR hiring those who won't be able to get picked up at a major very easily. They're saying your resume qualifications are exactly what they are looking for is precisely for that reason. Someone without PIC is not incapable of leaving for the majors, in fact its very possible and probably will happen eventually , but HR knows you aren't a likely candidate to get a type rating and quickly leave. And please don't take offense, because I fall into the same low PIC category. I'm merely pointing out the fact.

Valid point, but I wonder if they realize that those with the most vested interest here are going to be the ones who dig in and fight the hardest come contact negotiation time...

Default Dress code for training

I've seen reference to "Business Casual" for training in this thread. Does the company define what that means? Polo shirt ok? 5.11s?

Also, are there CBTs or something to do prior to arriving?

Gracias!

For a NH, slacks and a collared shirt, don't rock the boat. Yet. You will see all kinds of things worn in the MIA TC for recurrent classes. Sat./Sun. is more all around casual, jeans etc.

Not a chance. You're talking about individuals who are only concerned with fattening their bonuses and climbing up the corporate ladder as fast as possible. They aren't concerned with the viability of the company 10 or even 5 years down the line because that's outside of their field of vision and not coexistant with their personal interests... Plus, I've heard that the break even point for a newhire pilot is around 12 months. So, as long as they get you for that long they're looking good in their bosses' eyes.

They should give you access to the CBT's well before you leave for training. Starting them early is at your option, but there will be plenty of down time during the first few weeks of training to get them knocked out too.
