Military non pilot, masters degree, who knows what was considered. Only that the lack of thousands of hours of pic, which is of course highly valuable, wasn't an issue sitting across the table from HR or the tech panel.
thanks doverby, you're the man!

I got virtually no PIC (180), about 4600tt and 3300 jet, lots of international experience though. Applied couple of times, still no fish..

Usually just FARs and the aeronautical characteristics of individual airplanes. Lift. Drag. Parasite versus induced. Those kinds of things. Sometimes I'll fetch the FOM from the library and read it aloud to the fella next to me.. It's a blast.

Come join the fun!

Your quals are pretty close to what I had coming in too (so is your screen name!). Like doverby I didn't get any questions related to the lack of PIC during the interview, although I know others in the same boat who got some wwyd if you were captain type scenarios. Easy stuff.

At the job fair I went to about a year ago, the recruiter looked over my resume and said it was exactly what they were looking for. Your being able to show a pattern of career progression is more important to them than PIC.

Hope you get the call soon!

This goes back to the discussion about HR hiring those who won't be able to get picked up at a major very easily. They're

This goes back to the discussion about HR hiring those who won't be able to get picked up at a major very easily. They're saying your resume qualifications are exactly what they are looking for is precisely for that reason. Someone without PIC is not incapable of leaving for the majors, in fact its very possible and probably will happen eventually , but HR knows you aren't a likely candidate to get a type rating and quickly leave. And please don't take offense, because I fall into the same low PIC category. I'm merely pointing out the fact.
