What a shame. New-hires who are actively trying to ignore the issues that could cost us all millions over the course of a career. I'm very concerned about our future if this is the apathy we face.

But, if you feel you're only worth half what FedEx or UPS pays to fly the same equipment, I can't stop you from ignoring it.

I don't believe new hires are ignoring the problems we face they're just taking it one step at a time. There's plenty time to be negative, angry, and disgruntled later on.

If you're not angry right now, you're not paying attention.

The first step in the process is "Should I work for Atlas?" And right now, Atlas management is actively trying to slash our pay in times of record profits. It would be very unfair to keep a new hire in the dark about this.

Could you stop being so dramatic? No one is ignoring anything. WE GET IT. We're "all in". We just want to talk about the PRACTICAL matters regarding our starting a new job that is quite complicated and different from what we do.

He isn't being dramatic, he's just being realistic. The future of working for the company today is much different than what it was a month and a half ago when most of the guys getting classes now, interviewed. A month and half ago I was trying to get all my friends hired, now I am telling them to hold on. Our union has a gun to it's head and who knows if management is going to pull the trigger.

Dude... WE KNOW. It's been mentioned like five times on each page for the last few weeks in this thread. Yet if anyone asks for pracical knowledge they get dogpiled about how they have to go and find it.

The last sentence is hilarious. They're gonna pull the trigger...omg!....they're gonna do it.....As you can see we have our share of drama queens here.

Of the class date, you mean? By email. It's the only sure way to get in touch with me based on my location.

I don't think anybody is "actively trying to ignore the issues". I think that we're all taking it all in, evaluating our current situation, evaluating our willingness to step into a potential fight, and making a decision based on the info we have.

I appreciate all the opinions...good, bad, and ugly. It helps me make an informed decision. That said...do you expect people to make life decisions solely based on anonymous rants from people on the internet?

Personally, I prefer to have everything relating to working for Atlas in one thread. It makes it easier for me to keep up with it, which is usually done on a phone while sitting somewhere waiting for my next flight.
