Haha. Yeah man. Everyone goes to ANC. Enjoy that commute. You will lose 6 days a month easy.

Yeah I'm weary about that, thanks for the heads up.

I guess the next logical question is, what does a junior 74 FO schedule look like?

I'd say the majority of the lines in ANC are 17 day patterns. If you live in the southern US- plan on being gone 21 days.

That's a mix bag. Mostly 7-9 day patterns with 6-8 off. Typically a week on week of type pattern.

Lots of 8-10-12 day domestic AZ, and DHL type stuff.

AMC stuff can be all over the place. 5 day stuff, to 10 day patterns.

TPE flying is 10-12 day pattern. Those days include DH over and back on our 400. Always a pleasure 😫

Specifically asking about the 747-400

Does Atlas has reserve too? Or everyone gets a schedule. Not like other 121 passenger carrying outfit is it? If there is reserve, how long is that?

TPE flying, does that mean you spend lot of nights in Taipei?

How long are the layovers usually? Minimum rest requirement or they are some longer layovers.

Thanks

747-400 answers

1) yes. Every single pilot is a de facto reserve, and the majority of schedules are dedicated reserve schedules with slightly worse rules than line holders.

2) TPE flying is not applicable to 747

3) 747 only min rest to 24 hours. You will be scheduled for longer then that but you'll never see it because they will consistently reflow and utilize you

Any news on summer classes? Do new hires get to choose 747 or 767 at this point? Also, what's the latest on the Amazon 767 flying? Seems quiet..

...bummer

I was going to ask, can an FO pick up open time from a base other than their own? However, after 21days...
