I thought you liked the positive? LoL

No news on negotiations, they meet in Feb. No one holding their breath, apps still out.

I still don't see any reason for a CBA in the near future. They will wait far past the 23rd hour. We aren't even in talks currently

How long before new hires can typically bid new equipment? Say if hired into the 767, would it be plausible to change to 747 FO after 2 years or so? Or do Atlas pilots stay on one fleet?

There's a 3 year seat lock however it doesn't apply to upgrades. So a 76 F/O will be on the 76 for at least 3 years. If they take the upgrade on the 76 during that time the clock starts running again. A 74 F/O might get off the airframe a couple months early by bidding 76 Captain.

That's a good point...so how do you get good at it with one landing a month?

1000 hours in the airplane and I’m just now starting to feel even remotely comfortable landing it....but I can make the best cup of airplane coffee you have ever had....priorities.

I'll add to this and echo "you don't". That's the huge concern that all of us have been having and screaming to deaf ears. There are smarter ways to get PROFICIENT at flying a heavy. Getting hired from the right seat of an RJ into a 747 with only one landing a month is not the preferred solution.
