Does anyone ever get a class date right off the bat without swimming in the pool?

Yes. Our class had 9 out of 10 directly hired with no time swimming.

And NO! Our class of 16 had 14 that had been 'swimming' for over 4 months and 2 that had been 'boating' for over 6 months. (one was me) That is why we all considered ourselves the short bus class!!!!

Cheers and as always drink heavily!!!!!

What's the earliest time in the day one could safely book an airline ticket out of MIA on the day of the interview?

Unless things have changed since early last year you can plan on the process taking the full time as stated in your invitation letter. At that time I think it was 1700. Then give yourself a couple hours to collect your bag from the hotel, negotiate the MIA TSA maze and get to the gate. This was my experience but it's over a year old now so your mileage may vary.

If its a 121 US carrier and its in the CASS system, my understanding is that we have an agreement with them.
