Pilots that believe they will make more and have a better QOL at a legacy. Nothing new or untrue about that.

Spot on. During the viral debacle many showed up which is logical no doubt and then departed the fix when recalled also logical. Met only a few that were very low seniority at previous pax carriers and stayed - they were single by the way which does have an impact especially married with young children. Be aware of what we do and if it fits you and your lifestyle. Great if it does, terrible if it doesn't. It is very different than the Majors, etc. so do your homework.

It can be either a true gem for you or a lump of coal. Coal = while still very useful keeping the fire going, it may not be your best choice. Also, your hopes of it being pressured into a diamond is hopeless you can look that one up...

I have the phone questionnaire on March 26th, so looking forward to making team Atlas. With that said, I’m in the market for a new headset. I currently fly a BE-1900c and use the A20 but am curious about how the A30 stacks up. Does the different levels of nose cancellation have a purpose in a Boeing? Any opinions on the Proflight 2? Do I need to expand my horizons and look at a different brand?

As a side note, thank you to all who have and continue to answer the questions posted here. This thread is a treasure chest of knowledge.

Keep the A20s. A30s are a very marginal upgrade and not needed in a jet.

Best of luck on your phone screening and hopefully the interview a few weeks later.

As for the headset; I was a BE350 guy and had my own Bose A20. I still use it on the 767, but I never turn on the noise canceling. Partly because I have to buy batteries myself now, but mostly because it is not that loud up front.

Hi, Is there anyone interviewed and not selected by Atlas recently? I think that's going to be the case for me. Somehow, they are extremely over-suspicios about the information on the resume, background and checkride failures. No one can fake thosands of flight hours and a clean record. Their suspicion is at the level of paranoid.

As someone with a phone screening coming up, wondering what exactly makes you say that?

They are just over-suspicious and obsessed with the background, training history, and legal questions. The reason is that I think they are still under the radar of the FAA because of the crashed B767 in 2019. Their HR representative is like a detective searching for a discrepancy or a lie... I am more suspicious about them than they are of me. They are not looking for pilots only or hiring them, they want the FAA to see how they are selecting their pilots. They also want people to fill out an independent application form per the FAA's request. The HR interview is going on like someone from the FAA is watching and listening to all conversations secretly. You can conclude it from their nervousness. It's easy to smell that and it's irritating for someone who has experience and a clean record.
