I got hit with it mid pattern in MIA for October... Maybe I need to talk to someone about that.

I understand that that is a possibility, but why would they shoot themselves in the foot? They won't be able to fulfill Amazon contract or slow down the attrition rate, or solve the staffing problems. why would that be in their interest?

Pilots will get to negotiate nothing. Should Atlas mngmt get their way.

You most definitely can be imputed for sitting reserve in base. Anything over 18 hours at base is eligible to be imputed.

Just use the flow chart in the manual and it will tell you exactly when you can and cannot be imputed.

Hey, and as far as imputed income goes, it depends on the base and your travel situation. ANC in 2012 $6800, ANC/LAX 2013 - $6400, 2014 LAX/PAE - $4500, 2015 PAE - $0. It just depends on your travel situation and base, but for me the trips always seemed to start and end in ANC and it's expensive to get there. LAX, it's cheap to fly in but expensive to be on reserve there. And PAE - my situation afforded me the opportunity to not get jabbed with travel expenses. Regardless, imputed is always hit and miss AND you will pay real taxes on this as ordinary income.

That said, gateway is a good deal that would keep me here... for a little while longer as there must be movement soon on a new contract. It also offers peace of mind over jumpseating and getting a condo (I'm to old and set in my ways to live like a college student in a crashpad). Without it, I would quickly move on.

All In!

Because this is a Lorenzo style management group. They take this personally and they have enriched themselves to royal levels by maximizing their position. They already have their millions and will leave this place a smoldering wreck...

Read Confessions of a Union Buster and all questions will be answered. For those who don't read, just YouTube it.

I stand corrected. Never stood reserve so I guess I was lucky. Also, I take it you mean hotel stays mid pattern greater than 16 hours in base.

Good times ahead....

Atlas management is just kicking the can down the road waiting on a buyout. They will let the new company deal with the labor issues.

None of us understand it but it's EXACTLY what's happening. It's January 6th 2017 and our contract has been open for over a year and nothing is done. We haven's sat across a negotiating table from them in 10 months and 10 months ago when we did they were in the room for about a minute. The bottom line is that they aren't going to "Give" us anything and you should expect the current contract for years.
