Was talking to a friend in the pool and he said he was told that there are over 60 pilots in the pool, that some of these guys will be in the pool over a year. At least that was the word he got from HR. Sure would like a phone call, but willing to wait if that's what it takes.

Like one of the above posters said, keep the faith brother! Its a test of what flying ad hoc will be like. Just when you expect something it all changes on a dime!

That sucks, but it can take a while even when things are hopping. Look at it this way, as long as they suspend interviews, no one can get stacked ahead of you!

Ok, last night I finally checked the last box (FAA Class 1) and submitted my PAQ/Resume. Tonight, of course, I discovered a typo in the resume where I said I was at one assignment from 1997-2004 and then my next assignment was from 2002-2004. It should have read 1997-2001 and then 2001-2004. Is it worth re-sending the package just to correct that small error or is that something I can cover if there's ever a phone interview?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's obvious you're not trying to fake something (do you have a clone out there doing a second job?). Suggestion--unless the phone rings sooner, submit an update in 3 months. When it's time for the interview, you'll be directed to provide the latest version of your resume (among other things) by HR. Either way, the minor error will be fixed.

I was going to reapply and send in my resume again this afternoon, but it looks like the application window is officially closed as of today.

"Atlas Air is no longer accepting resumes for First Officer Positions. Please check back every three to six months for updated information."

Hmph. I guess I should not have anticipated the window being open until I was ready to apply.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like I got in just under the wire as it is. I wonder if I really made it in time or if my resume's already in the Recycle Bin...
