How long is short course. You guys will probably be done before we are (1/7 class). IOE is going to probably be pretty backed up. Does anyone know when u leave Miami but are still on training pay does your 24/7 per diem stop too?

I hear the short course is a month long. Since they're already typed and current, I'd guess mostly indoc and a brief sim/PC schedule. IOE's going to be nuts, 12/17, 1/7 and 2/4 short course all hitting the line within weeks of each other, and we only have so many check airmen.

You're on training pay the first four months or until signed off of OE. Per diem stops the minute you leave MIA to go home.

Gotcha...its the 3.5 years vs 5 years you are really highlighting....fair enough.
Yep, that's it...3.5 vs 5 years was the point I was trying to make.

The original post that I was responding to was referring to pay rates 5 years from now at various airlines. I know that we are 1.5 years into a 5 year contract. With that being said, there is no way we will have a new contract 5 years from now. Look how many years it took to get this one.
