Cobbs - Congrats on the class date and welcome aboard.

Training pay is $1600 per month (plus per diem while in MIA and on OE) until completion of OE or 4 months whichever happens first.

Thereafter min. guarantee is 50 hours per month at $75.75 ($77.27 starting Sept. 2013). This pay continues until you go on second year pay which will be the first day of the month you were hired (I was hired on May 30 and effectively had only 11 months of first year pay).

This first year pay is the same for 74 and 76 pilots. Most first year folks see much more than the 50 hour min. each month. Once I started OE I averaged about 72 hours - YMMV so you should really only count on the 50 hours and reap any additional hours as a bonus.

Prior to starting class you might want to consider doing some reading about Atlas; the schedules, the pay, the lifestyle, and especially the training program. Doing so may help your transition into the company. Many pilots do this while prepping for the interview. BTW, answers to your question can be found earlier in this thread and/or two clicks away in the APC airline profiles ...

Cobbs, from the way you worded your question I guess you're not interested in the 76? The 767 also has a 50 hour guarantee the first year, then 62 after your first year is complete.

Edit: Wow, you're already hired and didn't know this...nevermind.

I knew I would take some flak by asking a question like this...haha Despite being 99.9 percent sure, I wanted to ask again. (Trying to buy a house...the banks have new rules in effect) Thank You all for the info, I really appreciate it.

All a bank or finance company will count is guarantee x rate. They will disregard per diem...and even if you can show "over guarantee" pay from the past they will say there is NO guarantee of that.....if you need to show income best to wait until you are on year two.

Also for Cobbs, you will not start receiving your per diem until the end of the second month you are in training. I started in early January and did not see a per diem check until the end of February due to the way Atlas reconciles pay. Plan accordingly especially depending on what health and 401K options you choose. I saw some rather small checks for the first two months.

That's true...I started training on 1/29, finished on 2/26 (short course), and won't see per diem for February until the 3/31 check (actually, I guess it'll be 3/29). I had enough savings to float me, but yes, it does require some planning. Looking forward to getting done with OE and on full pay...

cobbs - Were you non-current when you got picked up? I saw the AF staff job and I am sitting in one myself. Haven't heard of a single non-current pilot being hired and am looking for hope. Thanks.

Just saw today's group finely-dressed candidates in the Training Center...for those that are curious, ALL were wearing ties, most in suits, and a couple in blazers and slacks...but ALL in ties.

So, can we put that one to bed?!!
