...and then they gently & ceremoniously place their copy of that piece of paper on top of all the other paper schedules they give everybody else each month, load the whole ginormous pile onto a full scale wooden replica of a Viking ship, soak it in gasoline and set it adrift. Then before it disappears over the horizon (or at least from a safe distance) - and after repeating a few solemn words, a high priest strikes a match which is used to light a flaming arrow which an archer skillfully launches in a beautiful arc through the fading twilight and sets the whole thing ablaze in a magnificent bon fire. And they laugh and laugh. Also, s'mores.
Ps- Just out of curiosity - those guys you know from Atlas - are they paying you back for something you did to them? Or do they just enjoy messing with you?
Pps- Best of luck at the interview. Just make sure you understand the nature of the beast. It's a good gig with some great folks to work with - just different than the typical airline.

I always pack a jacket, sweater and shorts for EVERY trip. In late Sep I start bringing the leather jacket with me for EVERY trip till about May. seems to have worked well for me so far. Sitting in HNL off to SYD in the near future and ANC as well.

I get the flexibility and the differences for Warm Wx vs. Cold Wx trips and what to pack. Are the aircraft supplied with parkas and other cold weather gear for those who may find themselves in sunny paradise one week with a trip deviation to Thule, Greenland to pick up mating penguins?
Just inquiring an operational question while on vacation.
Best of luck next week to the interviewee's.

Yup...supplied by the crewmember. And when in ICN, you have to supply your own, "Will Autoland for Food" hat...

Don't sweat it too much guys, when you get to Shanghai, there are plenty of Columbia and North Face jacket calling your name...of course, they are all genuine fakes, so buyer beware. And be careful bringing it into the USA via ANC!!
Good luck...

...and convertible pants/shorts similar to World Wide Sportsman® Hybrid Angler Pants for Men | Bass Pro Shops would be good.

A little birdy told me that they rip the tags off and pack it or wear it. Of course, I would never do that. Or take the new wrappers of the CD's, or wear a watch that was just bought. Man, the things you can think of on some of these long flights!

Of a more serious nature, does anyone have any additional information about the upcoming class? 10 individuals in October, presumably in the 744. (Dual qual in the -8?)
