...To everyone else who is complaining about this 16 hr interpretation: Yes, yes, we all know that the true spirit of Whitlow is that you have to have 8 hrs of rest in any 24 hr period. However, that interpretation means that you cannot fly a duty day of over 16 hrs.
Crew schedulers are not licensed and certified by the FAA. I've personally had a crew scheduler change ACARS times twice to try to make me legal.

I've heard of the Man changing ACARs times before, but, have to admit that I don't write the times down or compare them after the fact.
If I did become aware of it, I'd file an ASRS report on the change since I tend to base my duty time decisions based on the computer's data versus trusting my own math
