BobbyLeeSwagger (GREAT NAME!) if you do a little research Jack Ernie is a "cool" screen name, hint; "Remember me, with the Jolly Rogers"!! Anyway, I shall endeavor to be funny(er) in the future...I always feel more intelligent after reading your work!

Best regards

Have a good friend who's a DEC, and trying to get me to come aboard as an E-Jet FO in the Charter lane (which I'm just fine with)! What're the odds of just that? And...getting ORF because I live 45 minutes away? Just looking for a decent paying flying gig as I roll into the mandatory "sunset". Breeze looks pretty promising, and I'm good with the starting $105 FO pay (please keep the barbs/spears to yourselves), asking legitimate questions for legitimate answers, from folks already at Breeze please.

If you live in ORF then Breeze is a no brainer. It is a small base though so you will be junior for a while but it sounds like you just need a place to hang your hat. Things could move quick too if there's fleet movement or growth. Charter flying tends to go senior but that's really for the Captain side. FO slots are probably more attainable.

No word yet, they keep saying they have plenty of First Officers lined up ready to go. Kind of surprising they’re scheduling classes months ahead in this hiring environment. I hope they show up.

Exclamation Go to a regional

If you have the experience, go to a regional first. Pick one with decent flying, a decent bonus, quick, or quicker upgrade, and move on to the majors. That’s really the best advice in todays market. I’d even advise DECs to look at the regionals at this point. Now if you’re older and have some time and money to gamble with, then you could give it a try??? There’s always work and maybe it works out, maybe it doesn’t. If you’re looking for stability, go elsewhere. The constant issues/disruptions can make anyone unnerved. The new TT department is taking the wind right out of the sails, BIG TIME! Management turnover is becomimg alrming. The growth is exceding reources and I believe contraction is coming as this summer is shaping up to be another meltdown. As I’ve said eleswhere, balance the risk. Ask yourself, is it really worth it. Don’t believe what recruiters tell you as the harsh reality is very different.

Best of luck.
