The only FlightSafety I've ever seen at XJT (ERJ side), was having to do sim at FS in DFW during initial back in 2006. Even then, it was always XJT instructors. In my decade at this airline, I've never seen any flight training ever farmed out.

L-ASA (XJT CRJ) has one of the best training departments in the industry. Nearly everyone I know who has left, including LCCs, and Legacies, has agreed. Most airlines, even legacies have a lot of self study and "be ready for the test, good luck". At ASA they give everyone personal attention, and don't spoon feed it, but are genuinely interested in seeing everyone pass. All instructors and check airman are company instructors on the seniority list. ASA "owns" one CRJ200 sim and one CRJ700 sim at Flightsafety ATL and uses a couple of classrooms there for recurrent. All training, including new hire, is AQP.

They just extended their 145's through 2018 with intent to extend them through the end of 2019 and SkyWest is talking about fleet replacement for XJT in the Q3 earning I believe this month.
With the United CPP, upgrade time is probably going to drop drastically with 25% of all United new hires are required to come from ERJ side of XJT, and I believe the first wave of United new hires from XJT are heading over in November. Also I am pretty sure they didn't hire between 07'/08' and 2011 and are about to have an upgrade class with an 07' and 11' hire in the same class, so that drops the upgrade overnight by 3.5/4 years. I wouldn't be surprised for XJT to have one of the lowest upgrade times come begging of 2017.

Up to 25% of United's new hire classes are supposed to come from L-XJT current pilots. Commutair has the same program with a smaller percentage. This is not a flow, just preferential hiring. It is open to all L-XJT pilots that can pass the Hogan, interview, and other requirements (sick calls, college).

Pretty sure you will fly tons at XJT. My buddy recently left SkyWest for ExpressJet because SkyWest 'promised' him a base, they sent him somewhere else, and he only flew twice on reserve in two months at SkyWest. He is flying tons at XJT now. With XJTs contract you have two preferences on reserve 'will fly' (call me first) and 'no preference' and they have an 'aggressive pickup window' where a reserve can call and pick up trips in open time. He is loving it supposedly.

The work rules that you quoted are for L-XJT. The 'will fly' normally means you will sit "arc" airport standby. The aggressive pickup window is a great thing in the contract as long as a line holder does not take the trip away from you. The aggressive pickup window is also the left over 14 hour 4 day trips that are left over in open time and no line holder wants.
I would plan on making 75 hours a month and not one penny more for a couple of years (our new hires are on reserve for a very long time).

If you worked for XJT, then you would know that the average for a person sitting on reserve is around 73 hours. Some months you break guarantee and some months you won't.

I flew a lot, because I wanted to. There are better start times to bid if you want to fly, and times to bid if you don't want to fly.
If it has changed, I would love to know. I am planning on applying to come back in Jan.
Are there any current reserve FO's lurking who still credit 100 hours on average? (Or is that not possible now)

I don't know what it is like today. I had to leave ExpressJet (L-ASA) one year ago due to family issues. I was there for about 1 year, and I only credited less than 100 hours twice. (90 and 85) I wanted to fly and I did. When I did not have a trip assigned, my airport appreciation days (reserve) usually went like this. Sit at the airport all day. Then 2 hours before I got to leave, scheduling would call me with a trip or a deadhead to pick up a flight. I can only remember once or twice I actually did not fly when I was on airport reserve.

Are you keeping your seniority when you come back? I'm not sure about the 200 side, but on the 7/900 side I have only credited more than 100 hours once. That was in July during the summer. Other than that it's really a hit or miss. I've been here a year and only broke guarantee 3 or 4 times. In July of this year is when I got most flying and money. Reserve seems to be getting longer each year here. It's the most frustrating thing ever. I barely have anybody under me on the 7/9. I would gladly go to the 200 if it wasn't a $3 pay cut. I hope that answers your question...
Thanks!!
