This industry is more incestuous than middle ages aristocracy. Of course the freight will be intermingled.

Well right now, looks like it will be separate at least for us as they are splitting it into day night. Day being amazon, course that could change but the amazon warehouses are not 3 shift.

As of yet they aren't integrated. Amazon has a facility contract basically. As stated before I don't believe amazon is set of for 3rd shift overnight work at their warehouses. It could all change tomorrow but thats the way it is today.

If ABX scope doesn't allow for ATI 767 DHL flying, then that's not going to change come May 1st. ATI "may" get away with strictly flying Amazon cargo out of the DHL facility, that is yet to be seen and will be interesting to watch. "If" DHL mixes their cargo with Amazon together on an ATI 76, I think then, you will see fireworks.

Makes no sense that DHL/Amazon would coordinate a mixed use facility and not include the shipping of missed sort cans to the same destination on the others flights. So of course they will do it, but that still might not be seen by the courts as a scope violation.

I guess the courts will have to end the speculation then.

I would be so interested to see the scope wording that restricts to ABX crewmembers the right to fly 767s for DHL; it must be in a side letter or subsequent agreement that wasn't published in the lawsuit, and so I have never had a chance to read it.

In any event, there may be good reasons for Amazon not to want to carry "public" freight on the flights running in its network; right now, every bit of freight carried on those flights is something that originated in an Amazon facility.

In the meantime, somebody at ABX headquarters really needs to start licking whatever it is that DHL wants him to lick, given DHL's recent drip-drip-drip transfer to other IBT-represented carriers of several routes that were being flown by ABX.

"Article 1.E.1.a of the 2009 Contract basically says that: ABX Crewmembers shall fly (1) all flights [with some exceptions not relevant here] (2) of any aircraft leased, owned, or operated by ABX Air and its subsidiaries and divisions, (3) that are performed by or on behalf of ABX Air OR are performed by or on behalf of any entity that ABX Air owns more than half of, OR are performed by or on behalf of any entity that owns more than half of ABX Air OR are performed by or on behalf of any entity that is more than half-owned by any entity that owns more than half of ABX Air (which would include ATI)."

All DHL, Amazon and ATI have to do is for DHL to "hire" Amazon to forward DHL volume by placing an Amazon waybill on the volume destined for ATI aircraft. They instantly become Amazon volume and ABX's scope clause never comes into play.

Don't think for a second that they won't try something like this or something similar.
