I remember back in the olden days at Kalitta flying for Emery and we used to get the stink eye from the EWW pilots flying in their hub. Now Emery is in the history books and Emery pilots are now in management positions at K4. Jumpseating on ATA and entertaining the crews with CK stories, now ATA pilots working in all facets at K4. The archives of aviation history are littered with would be kings that thought they would never die. Things constantly change and evolve and the underdog could one day be the king, so be careful whom you disrespect and throw mud at, you could find yourself addressing a resume to them in your future. Respect the industry and each other.

I know. And thanks. As on all anonymous boards, sometimes people can't help going too far.

I have several former cockpit mates at K4 who are great pilots, good friends, and when we cross paths on the job they seem to really enjoy the flying and the guys there.

"Respect the industry and each other." Great quote.

You Atlas pilots are just butt hurt you’re stuck with 1224 and that scab DW.

1224 is interested in ****ing every pilot group until Atlas gets a contract. Good luck with that game plan. Omni wants to de-cert and join us.

1224 will be the new 747. Bankrupt.

I doubt most Atlas pilots care if we stay or go, most of them are probably just like us, looking forward to doing laundry at the Oakwood, and having their fingers crossed that they get the Mira or Shangra La in Hong Kong.
The few that do care and can’t help themselves from making comments about our duty days to our faces are probably wrapped up in this stupid forum a little too much.

There are some of us that feel like there's solidarity in having the DHL carriers together. Personally the complaining if ridiculous. If Kalitta and Omni want to go then I don't really care.

Ironic you’re calling someone in Teamsters/Atlas a scab while waiving the ALPA banner after they just scabbed the ABX strike.

The word “scab” is reserved for a special kind of person that flew struck work not just for someone you dislike.

Ironic that you just defended ATI pilots, so thanks for that!

Since some of you all still haven't figured it out, I'll paint the picture one more time: had the strike been against certain customer(s) common to most of us here, our brakes would have remained just as tightly set as yours. Our CBA allows for that. Label to your heart's content had anyone flown struck freight. It would be deserved. But that wasn't that case. Thanks for recognizing reality.

Question :
Wasn’t the guy who started the withdrawal process an ex-ATA ALPA guy? So he was there when John Graber and Mike Gerdes shut that place down? Ask him “what did ALPA do when they burned the place down?

Hey **** is a scab and on the list CAL83.

You atlas pilots are miserable Becusse you don’t have a contract and 1224 wants everyone to loathe in their misery until Atlas gets a CBA. That’s not the way unions are supposed to work.

For the record I don’t support the ATI MEC and their decision. They should have called out sick in solidarity.

Last union email I checked ** thinks the K4 pilots are flying struck work by picking up routes from Atlas. That’s the way the carriers have been doing business for decades and last I checked Atlas is not on strike.

I completely understand why some K4 pilots want to leave the Teamsters and I hope they do! Most of the time I wish we could join you wherever you end up!

I'm also reading folks saying that 1224 is all about Atlas and catering to the Atlas situation. Really?!? As of now, there hasn't been any quantifiable evidence of success by 1224 for Atlas pilots. I mean, look at the Atlas CBA and compare it to K4 and ABX...And many think there is little hope of a CBA anytime soon given their current strategies. 1224 all about Atlas? Yeah, I just dont experience this.
