I completely understand why some K4 pilots want to leave the Teamsters and I hope they do! Most of the time I wish we could join you wherever you end up!
I'm also reading folks saying that 1224 is all about Atlas and catering to the Atlas situation. Really?!? As of now, there hasn't been any quantifiable evidence of success by 1224 for Atlas pilots. I mean, look at the Atlas CBA and compare it to K4 and ABX...And many think there is little hope of a CBA anytime soon given their current strategies. 1224 all about Atlas? Yeah, I just dont experience this.

Are you absolutely certain that the (*Guy*) on "the list" and the Atlas/Local 1224 DW are one and the same ? The former is 63 years old, the later (implied/deduced from CAPA profile) is 51. I'm not a fan of either (*guy*) but if I were you, I'd seriously consider retracting your scab accusation.

the guy who is running the ALPA drive is ex Midwest Express an ALPA carrier not ATA. Both companies sank as I'm sure you're aware.
In ATA's case ALPA helped those guys a lot with preferential interviews and hiring at Continental - many of those ex ATA's guys are United captains today thanks to ALPA.
Neither ALPA nor the APA have a magic potion to keep sick companies afloat
look what that *uck Hete is doing to your place - can 1224 stop it? - I cant see how.
I have been ALPA before and I have been Teamsters before and now again.
I support the move to ALPA - they just have so much more to offer.
and before someone says they don't support small carriers - I was in the room the night in 1998 when Randy Babbitt walked into our DHL union meeting with a check for a Million dollars to fund our SPC operation - that's the kind of support ALPA gave at least then to a group of 400 pilots

OK, I knew there was something like that at K4 and I didn't know about Omni, but these maneuvers still aren't helping the Atlas pilots and that's my point. See, there are still no direct benefits to the Atlas pilots in any of their strategies thus far (in reference to said issues at K4 and supposedly Omni), so I don't see why people think 1224 is out for Atlas only. It's not working for Atlas pilots, clearly, so who are they helping? Again, notice our current CBA... It's unlikely at this rate Atlas (1224) is signing a new CBA anytime soon, if ever. I know the ALPA thing is sour on some folks, but what about an independent union Like FAPA, APA, or IPA? I wish you guys the best.

Ironic that you just defended ATI pilots, so thanks for that!
Since some of you all still haven't figured it out, I'll paint the picture one more time: had the strike been against certain customer(s) common to most of us here, our brakes would have remained just as tightly set as yours. Our CBA allows for that. Label to your heart's content had anyone flown struck freight. It would be deserved. But that wasn't that case. Thanks for recognizing reality.

Our day/night transitions when at work can be an issue, but I sleep just fine at night once at home without any self-delusion. And I don't need the blinders you've been wearing to get that quality REM sleep.
Know this: There are no scabs flying the line at ATI. When you (and, unfortunately, too many others here) get that, maybe we can ALL get on board with industry-leading CBAs that suit each of our own personal Brand X. Doing so is made more difficult with the string-pulling going on amongst the more than one "string pullers" here, but it can be done to ALL of our benefit. Affiliation notwithstanding.

I think there is a 4 letter word for it.
Heck even the Kalitta pilots immediately honored the strike. Without hesitation.
