K4 Pilots Declaration Of Independance !

In the last 2 years of Obama they pushed the WH and Congress to eliminate the cargo cutout.

Competition should be between the management of the companies, not between the pilots. A true Union would strive to keep all,the pilots on a level playing field and working under the same pay and benefits.
Pushing away from this makes pilot unions weaker, not stronger. Hindsight being 20/20, a national seniority list and single union would have solved many of these issues today.
It's sad reading this thread because you have 3 great pilot groups, notice I didn't say airlines, I don't care for the airlines. It's the groups that matter. Anyway, you have three groups of pilots that all fly for the same company that pays the bills. "DHL". As a single group of pilots under one banner, there is more power there than you realize and here we sit watching one group willing to through that away.
Having come from a Union family and seeing how pilots make unions and associations work, you realize quick that pilots as a whole have no clue, absolutely zero, on how we should be working. Pretty pathetic. If a long shoreman realized what we do to each other, he would say you all might as well be management.

It is time to go.

How it is with Teamsters right now, it’s as if our country needed approval from Europe before we could enact new laws or remove regulations. You don’t want that for our country, so why would you want that for “OUR” livelihood?

This is the most important point of all. Other airlines will not interfere with our own affairs if we switch to ALPA.

Our unions are mainly created because our employee groups are too small/do not have enough power to compete with the 0.1% for our fair share of company revenue. Numbers are strength, both for labour units and for countries.
When the 0.1% see labour groups like ours, fighting amongst each other, most of them are very happy because it means less money for labour and more for them.

The European Union is exactly as described above. It exists because the European countries are too small, economically, to compete with China, India, the US, etc. It was also created to try and prevent further fighting within Europe.

If you feel that having competitors at one Union is bad for your company, then why are DAL and UAL and Alaskan, and Hawaiian and Frontier and JetBlue and Spirit and Sun Country and Westjet and Air Transat +++++ all ALPA?
Why are all the plumbers in one area in the same Union? Same goes for electricians, etc., etc.
United, it is easier to fight against the 0.1%'s attempt to take ALL the money. That is why the 0.1% HATE unions.
Namaste...

The difference is that United does not get to tell Delta what they must have in their contract, that is up to the Delta pilots to decide what’s best for their pilots. All we want at Kalitta is for our guys to be able to make decisions predicated on our needs, not yours.
This is not complicated, and If you don’t understand the ramifications of having a competitor control your destiny, I can’t help you.

So let me get this straight.. Kalitta got a more or less acmi leading contract under the teamsters... Now some of the rank and file want to decert and move to ALPA, who has no presence in ACMI other than the flaming dumpster fire that is ATI, and who advised their members to cross a picket line *and* fought against ABX's single carrier petition. And they want to do this because they are mad that working together as a group to improve ACMI meant actually working together as a group and not just getting your way every single time? Is that a reasonable summary? This is going to improve things? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face... Unbelievable

and that's the point
not to derail this thread - but that happened a long time ago
tell me about the coordination between 1224 and ATI's MEC on ABX's strike and their single carrier filing....
