Woog315,
Sorry, your post is not a reasonable summary of what happened at K4 that brought us to a representation election. Not sure were you work or why you care, But K4 pilots pay about $1.3 million a year in dues to be represented by DW and 1224, and be told 'WE DONT CARE WHAT K4 PILOTS WANT, DW WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT!" The MAJORITY of K4 rank and file not "some" have had enough and we will be done with 1224 on February 15th 2018. They do this hiding behind 'We must maintain a unified ramp at DHL!" and DW is doing the SAME THING TO THE PILOTS AT OMNI AS WE SPEAK! Well last time I checked OMNI flies people. If you have not already done so, everyone reading this should also be following the OMNI thread under charters.
Cheers, Baron

Good Luck it’s ALPA, your going from sugar to ****! You will find out what Third Class Citzens are! If you not working for the Big 3, you are very very low on the pole there! Worst union on the planet! Was a memeber for over 10 years with ALPA and is was beyond horrible!

My experience with ALPA was completely different than yours and having been represented by ALPA and Teamsters I can say hands down ALPA is a superior union. As I said the other day this is not complicated, if you don’t understand the ramifications of having a competitor control your destiny, I can’t help you.

My friends who have left 5Y to ALPA, APA, and IPA carriers have expressed the realization that The Teamsters were one of the issues plaguing the whole deal. I guess one doesn't fully grasp it until one leaves and experiences the differences first hand. Maybe it's the pilot groups and not the Teamsters? No clue if ALPA would work for an ACMI but we're bottom barrel anyways, so why not?!? Kinda like voting in politics, if you're wallowing in sh!* anyways, might as well vote for the other guy and reshuffle the deck.

None of this matters in the long run

Eventually Connie will pass away and and K4 will either go out of business or be acquired by Atlas

If and when that happens, Atlas Pilots will make sure K4 pilots are stapled to the bottom

Only possible if K4 pilots agreed to the Staple.

After the AA/TWA debacle, Congress passed a law to prevent this. If one employee group of a merger doesn't agree with the seniority list, then it automatically goes to an arbiter to decide. Because if this new law, when DAL/NWA merged, the pilot groups realized they would not agree to any SLI. They both agreed to go immediately to arbitration to speed up the integration.
