Pfft...I know who*es and drug dealers that make a LOT more than that.

Also it is exactly why K4 pilots will soon be moving to ALPA from 1224, as the Spirit pilots had ZERO influence from other ALPA airlines and negotiated for exactly what was important for THEM!
Lol.... So it wasn't at all on you for getting that retirement? You get what you earn. Do you really think Connie was gonna "Give" you 3 times the retirement simply because your lanyard says "Alpa" on it? Don't be shocked when you discover that your Union consists of your pilots. Spirit worked pretty hard to get that.

globe
we are kind of beating a dead horse here
what baron was referencing was the statements by many Atlas guys on this thread who said that 1224 and the teamsters got us our contract
which as you note with Spirit is BS - the KA negotiating committee our Exco Chair and the stiff backbone of our group got us what we have

and BTW is much as you deride our retirement section it is exactly 2x better then the previous contract

Since you are bringing up incidents....I have a couple questions.

What were the official causes of those Kalitta crashes ?

Please educate all of us Atlas pilots because we must be inferior pilots.

Just an opinion but the issues at most of these ACMI places have to do with losing the experience to the Industry Standard contracts. When guys are building experience they're more likely to have an incident. They get the experience and then bolt. I have no doubt that the overwhelming majority at both places are very professional and talented. Atlas has the most pilots so Atlas will continue to have more incidents. The way things are going we may see a Hull Loss.

ClLASS ACT , maxjet !!! Bringing up incidents that could have killed fellow pilots.

You going to show your true colors if Atlas ever has a fatality and try to slam us for that, too??

And thank goodness that Kalitta has NEVER had an accident or incident. And "if" K4 did ever have something bad happen, no decent pilot would ever use that as a slam against you.

There are incidents throughout the airline industry. I'm not going to waste time illuminating the stats, but whatever they are, we should all learn from them to be safer and not slander each other.

Well said 8. Thankfully Max Jet doesn't talk for the majority of K4.

I find bringing up aircraft accidents reprehensible!! The world evolves, and everything changes. I have had the pleasure of working for both organizations and there are alot of people at Atlas that are former AIA (Kalitta pre-2000) and I know they would never stoop to that level. I remember back in the olden days at Kalitta flying for Emery and we used to get the stink eye from the EWW pilots flying in their hub. Now Emery is in the history books and Emery pilots are now in management positions at K4. Jumpseating on ATA and entertaining the crews with CK stories, now ATA pilots working in all facets at K4. The archives of aviation history are littered with would be kings that thought they would never die. Things constantly change and evolve and the underdog could one day be the king, so be careful whom you disrespect and throw mud at, you could find yourself addressing a resume to them in your future. Repect the industry and each other.
