Yes...please do. We should all be demanding a level playing field...no low ball payscales or ridiculously long duty days that the other carriers won't stand for! What ever happened to quality of life? Now the rest of us hoping for a descent contract have to negotiate these land mine idiotic 20+ hr duty days (k4) and horsesh#t pay (ATI) ...unbelivable. In todays market there is no excuse for these bonehead decisions.

For those of you that are on the fence as to which way to vote, pay attention to this post. K4 is being considered the red headed step child because of our duty day, and now other carriers must raise their duty day to be competitive.
The operative word here is competitive, in that they are our competitors, do we really want our competitor to dictate to us? It has been said many times but it is worth repeating, what works for Atlas does not work for Kalitta.
To be honest we do not like the long duty any more than you do, but it is necessary for our operation.

If ATI really just agreed to a TA with 2.5% 401k matching I'm terrified that Atlas loses the Amalgamation lawsuit and Retirement ends up in front of an arbitrator. Given that both ATI and K4 would've voted "Yes" in this scenario to Retirements worse than Atlas's current one that's less than 33% of Industry Standard it would be devastating to ACMI. There would be 3 companies locked into long term contracts with close to nothing for Retirement. I'm saving extra which eats into my current lifestyle but I'm guessing most of our guys aren't...
Duty day, as much as I like beating dead horses, I cannot do it anymore.

Do you really think that any of these companies would open Retirement early? All of us should be subtracting about 12-15% from our rates, because if you're not investing that you will be eating dog food in retirement. I don't understand why none of us are willing to fight over that....

This mentality is just mind blowing.

That’s what a smart person does. We all should have additional income streams as well.
