OPSPEC A117 authorizes augmented operations for airlines operating under § 117 - be that a passenger operation which is FORCED to operate under § 117 by regulation, or a non-passenger operation which may CHOOSE to operate under § 117.
§ 117.1 (d) lays out the "carve-in" where any otherwise exempt § 121 certificate holder may choose to operate under § 117.

Which is irrelevant, as this thread is about western global airlines, not omni, and WGA does NOT utilize OpSpec A117, nor observe Part 117 rest, flight, and duty regulation.

thats promising!!
Keep checking back. The Chief Pilot’s newsletter in December mentioned the recent improvements and said that we can expect more good things to come in 2022. The rumor floating around right now is Business class seating is coming. Right now, the majority of our commercial positioning flights are within the US. You go to Memphis, Chicago, Huntsville, Estero, Philadelphia. If you live in Florida, the longest you’ll you’ll probably see is FL to AK. So you probably won’t see it that often. A recent change also has homebasing available in Dubai, Amsterdam, and Incheon. The company has pledged to do away with Part 91 positioning legs. The only one we do now on the MD-11 is Chicago to Incheon with a 4 man crew. When you see guys posting about about their experiences in the past, ask questions. Things are changing and they are for the good.

That's definitely promising, excited for sure for new but good changes.
If you all don't mind me asking If you got an offer to work with all 3 that is, Atlas, WGA, and K4. Which one would you choose and why?
And would really appreciate it if anyone could point out the right direction to find MD11 course material to self-prep before the initial Ground school.

Atlas just added some decent additives to the “new” contract (Sept). A no brainer it’s to sustain operations due to the increased hemorrhaging of pilots, attracting more applicants and an attempt to sustain or just have growth. Y’all should get more goodness, it’s prime time to attempt to first keep your front line troops and also expand. Status quo just isn’t cutting it or shrinkage is inevitable.

The point was the rest rules you are under is because it's cargo, not because it's supplemental.

I know an Atlas guy that lives in a huge Amazon hub. He's home in his own bed most of the time. WGA is improving very rapidly from what we're reading. That's great, a rising tide lifts all boats.
