It looks as if your public support isn't there either.
Since you profess to know something about aviation.. Just how many bloody airplanes do you think will be dispatched w/o our brethren in the TWU? How many jets will be serviced by our brethren in the MX field? Short answer.. Not very many! Every Teamster I've spoken to (200+) is right behind the line waiting for the call. As a scab manager, soyathink will be working a whole buttload of overtime loading trucks for any other scabs they can find. Why don't you go back and tell Liekites and his cronies that the **** may just flow uphill this time. The air group is less than 10% of this company and provides almost half of the net after tax profit. We WILL get the industry leading contract this group deserves and there is not a blessed thing you management moles can do about it. We will join your country clubs and date your daughters. Learn to deal with it!

Can I ask you guys why is it that you even work for UPS if it is so bad? May I ask if the airline industry is so great and profitable then why don't you work for another company say like United or American? May I ask why Fed Ex pilots and the ALPA don't contact their customers and take out full page ads all over the world bashing their company? Why is it that alot of the posters here bash management and seem to think they have all the answers but never try to help solve the problem? It's aways somebody elses fault. A poster stated that UPS is always exploiting loopholes in the contract. The IPA doesn't do this as well? It's funny how the hostile work enviroment is all the company's fault. I don't see the company taking out full page ads or contacting customers saying the pilots are creating a poor work enviroment or are not working hard for their wage. A lot of you say UPS is mismanaged and the management is no good. The IPA and airline have been with UPS since 1988. UPS has been profitable long before that. UPS has been profitable since then. Competion and fuel costs are at all time highs. UPS pays top dollar and has to compete against non union companies such as Fed EX. How long do you think it is going to take until something breaks?

Trash hauler you comments "We will join your country clubs and date your daughters. Learn to deal with it!" are brilliant.

From this point lets not even waste our time discussing points of view with Soyathink. He can not even answer simple questions regarding the Airline business. I suspect he is some college intern the company has planted on these chat boards to stir things up. One would think a company as large as UPS would have better things to do.

This just proves that the IPA is willing to take the company down in flames with them. The company has had it with the IPA and will accept a strike, if necessary. A strike would put the IPA out of business once and for all and that would be good riddance to bad rubbish.

Now talk about being an idiot. No business no job Einstien.

Again I am not a manager with UPS. The only air I'm close too is the NDA and 2DA I deliver. I felt in my last post I asked some legitimate questions that apaarently none of you can answer. I'm trying to understand your reasoning but am having a very hard time. Quite a few teamsters are as well (thousands). We have seen IPA pilots berate us drivers and loaders. We have seen them contact our customers and take out these ads the latest being yesterday. We have seen them place blame but unable to accept responsibility. We have seen them call names. We have seen them whine how bad they have it and how little they make when they work 13 days a month and make over 6 figures. Sure you haven't had a raise in 4 years but you are still one of the highest paid in the entire industry. An industry that is full of furloughs, cutbacks, and bankruptcy. I'm serious guys us teamsters are really tired of it. That is all I'm trying to say. I have been called names, berated and accused just because stated a fact. I really hope somebody can answer the questions. Put yourselves in our shoes for a second. I'm trying to see your points but it is very hard to. The paranoid behavior here is astounding. First I was management now I'm a college intern planted here by THE MAN at UPS. Sheesh.

Did the drivers feel berated when the IPA supported them in 1997? More news for you... we will support the Teamsters again in 2008. Mechanics and dispatchers too when their time comes.

What industry are you referring to? Airlines such as Delta, United, etc? Sorry, apples and oranges. I would not consider a UPS Package Car Driver and a bus driver to be in the same industry, even though they both drive for a living. UPS has told us many times over the years that we are not an airline -- we are a package delivery company. Their words not mine.

Since you and UPS mngt believe that on this contract the IPA pilots should be compared to the pilots at Delta, Northwest and USAirways can we expect UPS airline managers as well as all UPS employees associated with airline ops to take concession equal to their pax airline counterparts.

I think this is a reasonable question seeing that this is UPS’s first attempt to group us in with the failing pax carriers. I can assure you that in past contracts UPS was quite clear in their position that IPA pilots are not to be compared with pax carriers.
