They sold their soul too. I pretty much feel the same way about all management. Wolves in sheeps clothing.

Yeah, that's a stupid comment....but yet I'm not surprised, Geoffrey is management. If you want us to welcome you with half open arms, you should probably keep those kinds of comments to yourself son.

managers to the IPA
Folks...
As far as those pilots hired directly into management, it would be nearly impossible to determine if they were offered a line job as well. But those who left the IPA made a conscious decision to NOT be line pilots and be instant capts and get the stock award every year. My point is that we CAN determine a date for each manager...his hire date into management.
As far as bringing them onboard, I'm not so sure that it would require us to hire more pilots. Most of the flying they do is by displacement...the mef flying that happens really doesnt equal 160 pilots times a 75 hour guarantee. We may, by bringing them all onboard in the captains seat, be royally screwing those fos on the cusp of upgrading to the left seat. This could potentially slow things earlier and with more effect than the age 65 decision.
There are a lot of questions to be answered and BM hasn't done that yet. He needs to...

I'm not sure that the 160X75 is an accurate metric. These guy fly outside of the contract and are therefore a lot more productive than we are. It may be that those 160 guys, even flying less than 75 hours a month, are doing the work of 200 or more IPA guys by flying long duty days and ridiculous deadheads as I have seen first hand.
Worst case scenario is that without sugar coating it, some of the guys that are on the seniority bubble could have a tough time in the short run. In the long run, I think that they will be better off.
As for the questions you think that Bob has to answer, for some reason I don't think you are going to see that posted publicly, it just isn't his style. History has shown that he is a guy that will only address things through a phone call or a question at a membership meeting. I encourage you to make that call and satisfy your intelect.
