For those keeping track....
1. Do you support the Association responding favorably to requests by UPS flight qualified supervisors for assistance in bringing them into the IPA?
2. Do you support IPA doing whatever is necessary to fight for the integration of these supervisors into the current IPA/UPS seniority list according to their date of hire at UPS?
3. Do you understand that the Executive Board may use other legal means to achieve our goals?
Three is sort of poorly worded. Does a yes vote or a no vote mean anything? "No, I don't understand". It isnt exactly like anything is being authorized. It should have said, "do you authorize the executive board to use other legal means to achieve this goal."

Not to be a *****, but based on past performance, (building, side letters, etc), my read on 3 is that if the EB doesn't get the 80%, they can and will pursue the integration as they see fit. Its happened before, it will happen again. YMMV.

The voting choices were "yes i support" or "no i do not support" so i guess if u vote yes u support the statement.

1= support
2= support
3= understand
You don't need a referendum to see if someone understands something or not. That could have been done with a simple statement. I suspect that this wasn't done by accident.

Its not so much that it enables it. Its more a statement from The Bob that he'll do whatever it takes to make it happen and this question is notice to us of that fact. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. I guess a rousing 30% of us did vote him, however. (ng)

Evidently, management has adopted a siege mentality. A number of meetings were held this past week. Basically, covert threats were made which none of the flight qualified supervisors believed. Lets get some comments going about the straw poll and line integration of management.
