Does anyone know why 3/13 was chosen. 1224 should have taken the AMJ deal to court immediately. There is no reason to play nice with this corrupt management team. I imagine 1224 legal counsel doesn't want this to go to court because it would involve lots of work and lawyer type stuff. I guess Atlas/Polar issues and conferences in London are more important than our furloughed suffering because of severance scandals. We have too many 1224 people that are not willing to fight and that will cost us everything! My suggestion is to vote "NO" on everything sent to you until we get the severance we deserve. We as a furloughed group have the power of "NO" in our corner.

The contract allows for continued pay for up to 2 E Board members so I think JM will be around awhile. Yes my understanding is that you are allowed to vote as long as you are in good standing at the time of furlough.

Ive heard it both ways...yes we do and no we dont.....I was sent packing the first time in 01 and never got to vote.....course I was on property less than 4 months so that might have something to do with it. With approx 350 or 400 going to be on furlough with the lack of any other information or angles form the senior group Id lean to the no severence no contract since we will have the majority vote Right?

Ultra and nitecat,
If you are off probation you get to vote even if furloughed. The latest Joe show lease involves an American 767-223 from CAM. It's not an ABX aircraft even though it should have been. Have you heard the latest news out of ILN? Hete, Graber, Starkovich, and a DHL puke have been nominated for the Clinton County Leaders of the Year. This is no joke. It's actually a crying, aggravating, cold slap in the face to those of us that have had our lives turned upside down. Please send your opinions to the Clinton County Leadership Institiute at The Clinton County Leadership Institute > Home and the news journal at www.wnewsj.com.

Does anyone have any reliable information on any of the following at ABX?
1) How many aircraft are in service to DHL 2) How many of the remaining
aircraft belong to ABX (vice CAM) and as such should have some scope protection from these dry leases. 3)Have the 28 non-cargo 767's been sold
back to DHL? What about the conversion slots who owns these now? The latest
lease to First Air indicates the plan is to lease all aircraft except those needed
for the remaining DHL work.

Ultra and Nitecat,
Call and listen to the 1224 members only hotline. Things are unfolding quickly. It looks like the eboard finally grew a pair!

Amerijet pilots,
Beware that the 767's you are receiving from ATSG are coming from ABX Air. ABX Air has a pilot contract that does not allow them to dry lease. They are trying to get around this by transfering the aircraft to another ATSG company (CAM) and using them as the lessor. Shady, dirty, airline management BS.
I would like to think you would care that fellow pilots are being screwed by this scam, but I'm sure you're happy to have our 767's. I hope you never have to go through what I and currently 187 pilots and their families are dealing with. And if you ever have been furloughed, shame on you! Over 400 pilots will be unemployed by the end of June.
This deal did not cause the furloughs at ABX Air, but it gave ATSG an excuse to pursue contracts that will "Not" keep ABX Air pilots employed. So, as most of you are gloating about your new fleet, I just hope you never need a jumpseat from a former ABX Air pilot! Also, enjoy the training program in Wilmington. It will be ABX Air Check Airmen training and evaluating you. ABX's training program is one of the toughest in the industry. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you should have thought of that when you started flying OUR routes with YOUR airplanes! As a result, our management furloughed pilots that were once required to be at work to fly those routes. That's a lot of mouth to take by our pilots from someone who works with a pilot group that has NO room to talk. Just be glad our company hired some of your guys to get them off the street. I would rather that it was our guys who ran our 767 training, not yours.
I hope the other ABX pilots do not share the same attitude as you. Thanks for being unprofessional and threatening to refuse our boys the jumpseat.

If you run into any amerijet pilots just ask them what they make or what union represents them? After you do that you'll understand my disgust with the situation. Pilot's that are willing to fly 767's for commuter wages are a threat to all professional aviators!
What union? What union???? The same union that you have! The Teamsters. And what does a fellow teamster do? Fly the other teamsters routes! Thanks buddy. Maybe we would have had a little more leverage to get a decent contract if YOUR boys wouldn't have been willing to sell our bosses a bigger jet for lower operating costs. Now here we sit without a contract.
Still.
Try not to forget that before you post negatively about my fellow pilots who are fighting the good fight.

How does it feel?
Is it fair for Amerijet pilots to rub it in the faces of ABX crews on how they are getting ABX 767's because ABX pilots make to much. Please educate your friends at Amerijet on professional respect. This is no laughing game. Families are being ruined as I write this. And by the way, Amerijet pilots do have a union ~Teamsters. In this industry you get only what you are willing to put up with, plain and simple. If they want to fly "the new big airplane" they should demand and accept nothing less than industry standard wages. Accepting less pay gave ABX Air the dry lease avenue to take jobs away from ABX pilots.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I do feel bad for all the furloughs (including myself). But you are way out of line here. Learn the facts, then we can talk. You are right about fighting hard, but a man can only do so much.
Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself.
