Do you know how to block your schedule in VIPS ? It is an option already. Blocking trips is almost impossible. The only time to worry about that will be during self-help and if we ever get there I am sure they will try anyway they can to block that stuff.
How about we suck it up and get this contract done and then no one will care what everyone else is doing.

Are you ignorant of the fact that we can block our calanders?

As told by the IPA [UPS pilots union] EB and negotiators in 2 road shows I have attended, while the company was ***** slapping the pilot group [they took away right to accept or deny Jumpseats, suspended several pilots for 2 and 3 months without pay and benefits -includding medical several-etc] we had 44% of the pilot group pick up over 72,000 [that's right, seventy two thousand] hours of open time [which are paid at straight pay rate] and 8000 hours of JA [150%] in 2005!
You can't say you're hard to get and show up in bed naked, legs up in the air and all wet!
We are getting what we deserve by being a bunch of OT and JA *****s. I hope the FEDEX guys get on with the program if they don't want the same sub standard TA presented to them. As you well know, your negotiators are disecting the TA presented to us. Be careful out there.

On a bright note...
I showed for a reserve trip yesterday in ANC. Joe (ACP) was leaving the office to go change and pack...he had to fly as an F/O because there were no more reserves and no one took it on draft!
Reserve level hours for this month for everyone are ridiculously high...bad for me (I'm on reserve), but maybe we are starting to show some true solidarity, and not all being air*****s.
For all you doubters still out there, personal decisions of no draft/volunteer, etc. IS working. When the company has to force management pilots to work as F/O's, you know they are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
