If UPS is going to furlough 400, then it sounds like we're getting a bargain by only paying ransom for 300, doesn't it?

Now that we have our EB screaming that UPS has significantly UNDERESTIMATED the overstaffing situation, I wonder how long it'll be before UPS increases the ransom demand? Interesting bargaining strategy...

Frankly I think it is amazing that UPS allowed the IPA the opportunity to negotiate an MOU. Strictly business I would have furloughed 300 along time ago.

P.S. That would include me.

Heard from a board member that over 50 domestic flights will be cut in Jan. Hence the need for more RDG participants. Also, as the new 76's come on line, they will increase the mutiple stop trips that the 75 and 300 do all too much. This will also reduce the number of crews that we will need. Four leg nights in a 76 sounds fun, doesn't it!

Yep and if our own greedy guys/gals signed this wouldn't be the case. It was simple and we screwed it up.

It's not rocket science. I've seen devastating effects to my QOL by moving down 20 numbers in ONT......duh! People are clueless apparently.

No one is greedy. The union exposed themselves to being held accountable for something they cannot control, a reduction in force due to a lack of business. Is the MOU a good attempt that we hope will be successful, probably. If it fails to meet the demands of the company to reduce costs this is the company and external forces controlling and not the IPA.

Uh, ok.

What would you call the 1000 that didn't contribute?

What do you call the people who are demanding that others reach into their pockets to support them and name calling if they don't?
