The rumor is that the amazon uniform is dead. New hires from September last year haven't gotten them. We we're told March this year, well now we're being told December. Amazon and ATI are fighting who is going to pay for the updated revision 2.

Any truth to the rumors of ATI hiring 1500 guys?

Yes. People close to ATP minimums have been hired recently.

They have hired a few with restricted ATPs and some with no ATPs, however the guy that I know of was a military rotor guy with 2,000 hours.

ATI will hire anybody who can fog a mirror at this point. I’ve been gone a few months now but, before I left the quality of the last few new hires I flew with was in the toilet. They were good people but, it was beyond obvious that they were all extremely inexperienced and in over their heads.

I’ve been gone for 6 months now but, I was there for 7 years before I left. I must tell you that unless you are desperate, then going to ATI is a mistake in this environment. If you’re desperate and for whatever reason you can’t get hired by an airline, then I wish you well at ATI.

If the regionals aren't hiring at the moment (or delaying classes), then I wouldn't say that going to any ACMI is a mistake. It's all good experience.

When folks that have put in so much effort to making ATI a good place to be are jumping ship, it's very telling. I'm thankful for the opportunity at ATI when it was moving in a positive direction, but even more thankful that I've moved on now that it's so toxic.

I got done with OE 2 months ago, every captain including my line check CKA said to get out while I can. The morale here is in the dumpster. If I could have done things differently I would’ve taken the CJO Atlas had offered me even if it was for the 737.

There are a lot of good talent at ATI that are too senior to get out at this point. I feel for them. I hope that the younger CAs that have been there a while can put themselves in a position to get out while the gettin' is still good. They deserve better.

Where do most of the former ATI pilots end up going to?
