Lee Kan's Asian Grill in Collierville. Deep in the corner of Byhalia and Poplar, behind the Walgreens

Nice atmosphere, good food, nice people.....somewhat upscale but not expensive.....similiar food to a PF Changs, but more personal....same feel, more intimate.

Make sure to order the "Velvet Roll".....it's their signature dish and outstanding. Perfect end to the house hunting day when you're in Base Housing East (C'ville)

Since we're talking about other food than bbq, chicken... etc...

Sakura in Germantown. Probably the best sushi in town...
Brooklyn Bridge in East Memphis - good Italian
Spindini's downtown memphis - great atmosphere, drinks, food, etc..
Russo's Pizza in Germantown - they have half price pizza on Mon nights

If you like donuts/ cupcakes -
Muddy's bakery is awesome
Gibson's donuts - a classic
O' Susannah in collierville.

And the nice thing about Memphis is everyone is so fat that I can even walk around without worrying about sucking my gut in!

Wow,

I'm impressed everyone! Thanks for all the great ideas. There's nothing better than good food except when it's free of course....

Listen, when it comes to Chinese food, nothing tops the wife's cooking. She cooks the best and it isn't like the "American Chinese" stuff. So..... when my beautiful wife and daughter make it down here after finding our home, ya'll invited! Bring an appetite...

I'll let ya'll know where we settle in. In the mean time, keep the good eatin places comin....

Thanks

Whale

Hey Everyone,

Just sittin here in MEM watching Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel when a memory jogger came up.

I was driving down Elvis Presley Blvd looking for Krispy Kreme when I saw a sign stating "soul food". Can someone enlighten me on what "soul food" is?

Also, what about BBQ. Any takers on the Best?
