"Full" would mean GIGANTIC profits. "Half Full" only means ENORMOUS profits. Such is the way of the air freight world.

Well, of course they're not full. On the ramps they're usually empty. It's when they're in the air that they are full.

The 763 is heavier than the 300.

They claim providing edible crew meals would bankrupt the company but have money to produce such videos which does nothing to promote their business. It's not like we got the flying public to impress.

Ugly-assed paint job to boot.

C'mon guys. This is a poolie thread. How is UPS staffed this peak? If it's a cake walk then I say you might be right.

For the poolies - The whole year at UPS and FedEx is managed so peak and the summer vacation season are manned properly. The spring is slower.

FedEx is very tightly manned. We will hire after peak.

I'm sure they told the same thing to the poolies from 04-07 hoping they would have a ready supply of bodies who turned down other jobs to wait. What they didn't tell them was the pool is actually a toilet bowl. Thus the flush that wiped out the last group of poolies.
As a 2007 poolie I do have to say that I was disappointed that big brown did not live up to a promise that they made.

Can I do anything about it, no.

But 7 years of waiting for a call only to be told that classes were offered to people that interviewed last week was disappointing to say the least.

Why would anyone start at UPS with others hiring so many?

You could be theer 5 years and still wonder if you might get furloughed
