Management culture is based on lies and deception. Interviews and pools are nothing but another cheap high passing to our guys just to get thru another peek. It doesn't cost the company a dime to interview a bunch of hopeful candidates and create an illusion in a training center after all that's where all the rumors are created

A lot of crickets concerning the pool/hiring, etc.
Any possible news of hiring after peak next year?

Heard there are 100 in the pool with classes potentially starting in January or February. Rumors of some larger numbers next year YMMV

Believe me much rather to hear crickets than lies deception and continued BS from this bunch. Ups went from career to just a paycheck 1/1/08. Davis was the nail in ups coffin as whole. He tarnished the moral and gutted his own managers and finally the name UPS in last peak. It's so bad that everyone from large business to small still talks about it to this day . This place got so bad that people actually thought the new guy is better than Davis. This is a different company than it was In late 90 ' s or early 2000. If you're not lucky enough and hired here just remember. EXPECTATION ZERO

With that being said...
This "new guy", 40 yr veteran that began working prt time as I understand. Does this at least bring optimism that things are going to change for the better? Historically, I have seen within our company the new individuals hired from the outside caused greater conflict as they didn't understand the history, culture, etc. When we promoted from within, QOL increased and everything was better as a whole.
Just curious as to what you and the others feel. There are many of us from the corporate sector looking and with the potential of Prt. 117 coming, the rumors we have heard of the possible numbers are peaking curiosity.

Get a job where you're appreciated and potential for growth not constantly looking for ways to shrink and replacing you. JMHO Fwiw

Its like this, NO ONE here knows when/if hiring will continue. No one that can or will post anything to an internet forum.

Another thing about UPS, every peak that I have been through, there ALWAYS seems to be some upbeat rumors about hiring, aircraft acquisitions or even during the dark days ..., furlough recalls ... for whatever reason it has been part of the operation like a routine event.

I know its not very insightful, or what you wanted to hear ... its just the reality of the current environment.

Good luck finding a company these days that will give you a big fat hug and rub your feet after you sign in. All companies are looking for ways to replace us.......just a matter of will and cost.
