I think the standard to judge against is this: how does the company's proposal improve our pay or quality of life. With this in mind, please tell me how letting a non-senority pilot operate a revenue trip improve our pay or our QOL? I don't see how and therefore I think the only valid response from us should be "NO."

My favorite company proposal:
Pilot may only have one active reservation for each scheduled lane segment.
I guess they want you to back end deviate early and if you don't they will deviate for you. If you are 3 hours late getting in on your last leg; SOL. Of course we will roll over on this one, I just hope we get a definition of "schedluled lane segment" before we do.
This one is fun too:
Unless authorized by flight manager, pilot may not schedule commute that the Company could not schedule per the contract, presuming the pilot scheduled air travel had been scheduled by the Company.
I hope we get them to agree this is front or mid trip deviations only.

"Allow non-seniority, corporate manager holding a position in Flight Ops and who has been trained and qualified in a specific crew position, to operate revenue trips under the provisions of Sec. 9.A.3., provided that he is accompanied by a Check Airman."
I'm missing the boat. Why are we even discussing this? Allowing someone without a seniority number into the cockpit? If you think 4.a.2.b got exploited, I shudder to think what this could mutate into. If you open this door, what (besides 'INTENT') is to prevent the company from hiring a building full of 'management' pilots? In case you missed it, the word INTENT will not score any points with me. PLEASE write your block rep and say no!

Did you guys notice that "allow sleep rooms instead of hotel rooms" in the management opener?
I suspect this refers to long (> than 4 hours?) hub turns when we now go to an airport hotel (IND, AFW, etc.). Although I'm basically OK with the concept, I would expect the company to "reserve" sleep rooms for said hub-turners leaving MANY fewer for the average line puke. WE ARE ALREADY SHORT ON SLEEP ROOMS!

Well at least "we" all agree that this line is to vague to be accepted. I hope the NC agrees too. If they want to change the jumpseat language or deadhead language let them change those paragraphs not stick some poorly worded slimey language into Section 8 General.
