Singapore B777 comes out of storage...

I believe Boeing has the pax to freighter conversion available. But I think the cost of the conversion, at the moment, may be prohibitive.

From Boeing's website.
Freighter Modifications
"Boeing offers the 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF), 767-300 BCF and MD-11 BCF, providing the knowledge, experience, certification and support that only the original equipment manufacturer can provide"
However, that's not to say that Boeing and FedEx haven't already come to an agreement for a 777BCF programme but just not announced it yet
After all, they (via aquistion of MDC) were brave enough to take on the MD-10 certification weren't they

Did you ask about the cost issue of extending the nose gear on the A330 to get the deck angle level for loading??? we're talking 7 digits

Like they say; if it is ugly it's British, if it is weird it's French, if it's ugly and weird it is Russian.
From what Airbus has published, they aren't going to change the nose gears on the P2F A330s. The have various ground service equipment to raise the nose. It is as fancy as an airbag type system to a jack like lift system.

Reminds me of a scene from the Little Rascals when they used a pool cue as a putter.

The rumors going around about the 777PF conversion are that it would cost more than a brand new A330-200F. If that's the case, who's thinking about conversion costs? It sounds like the 7 digit conversion probably would still be less than the currently stated 777 P-F conversion. I don't know how much of a residual market there is for that airframe anyway as it's pretty popular, especially the newer -200 version on which the freighter is currently based. Not that FX ever cared about that.

The story I heard was that Fedex mandated Boeing develop a 777-200 P/F conversion plan if they were to purchase new 777 freighters. Unfortunately, they didn't put any limits on the price of the conversion. Rumor has it it that the 777-200 P/F conversion may cost $100 million per aircraft. There's something about a major renovation to the weight bearing capacity of the main cargo floor that requires an involved tear-down and rebuilding.
