Zoro...

Tell me exactly what you don't like about the scheduling article. Everyone who voted no just says "it sucks" but offer no concrete examples of how their lives will be worse than under the current contract.

Zoro,

Calling someone weak because they voted yes does not help create unity. FWI, I voted yes. I read the entire contract, weighed the pros and cons and made a determination that a yes vote would be good for me and my household. If that makes me weak than so be it, because the majority has spoken and the majority have said yes.

I was hoping if you had any questions you would have called the grievance committee members and look at www.ipaontop.org and asked more questions.
And what would the grievance committee say? True, they deal with contract violations day in and day out, but they are also fellow union members who are going to have their own opinions too. Regardless of which contract we're offered and no matter how great the language is, it WILL be violated and it will have to be grieved.

Just because you keep touting your own website Franco does not make it correct. It makes it your opinion, which you are most certainly entitled to. But conversely, so is every other pilot at UPS entitled to THEIR opinion. Neither is right and neither is wrong. Everyone got their opportunity to cast their vote and there was an extremely high percentage of eligible crew members vote. The majority has spoken and now we have to all put our bickering behind us and work together to make this work the best we can.

Default let´s talk in 24 months

Lab rat, I really hope your spouse doesn’t divorce you within the next 2 years because you’re always flying and to tired when you come home. We get divorces of 5% of the IPA pilot group every year. This will increase with this TA.

Brown Tail, I hate to disappoint you but I’m not Franco fratangelli, even though he has a great website. Let’s go back 2 years from now and re-read his website and weigh in what was said there and what’s going on at UPS.

Hi

I spent several hours with several GC members who brought up to light several issues {I mean several} that were won in the G. process and that were given back to the compnay. Didn´t you read the email Cindy D. sent out saying they were given the house away, that there was no bottom line? Cindy is a EB member for the IPA, she was there during negotiations. Why don´t you call her like I´ve done and ask her yourself?

Zoro...

Cindy has stated numerous times (or don't you remember) that this scheduling article has some pluses and minuses but overall it is superior to the one we live under today. What part of that did u miss?

Not surprised. Now people look for the quick "pesos". Not the long haul results. Can't blame anyone actually, our politicians, CEOs, leaders are only about the quick fix and not about responsabilities.

That is the attitude that got us where we are now. In 3 years you'll be saying, "I'll vote for anyone except Bob, Tom, or Harry"

Did you, a free thinking human, really need someone else to help you with this decsion? Enjoy your spot on the list, you'll probably be there a while.

If the yard stick is whether it is better than the old contract or not, you can make the case in many areas that it is better than the old. Now make the yardstick, "is this good enough and what I want to live under for the next 5 years?" and the answers you get back should be different.
