Excellent question, and one which deserves an accurate answer.

Anyone?

Not at all, you might state your meaning a little more clearly though, otherwise you come off as a liar.

For someone who lives on this forum, I assumed you would/could follow the thread. Nevermind....

More theatrics, but it does serve to dodge the relevant questions.

Point of order...

What was your question again?

I'm sorry, I thought you could follow a thread.

1. What, exactly, have we lost in terms of our(UPS/FEDEX) position prior to this ruling?

2. What, exactly, would we hope to gain through legal action?

Simple questions, but there seems to be a shortage of accurate(or any) answers.

You never actually asked those questions directly...you got lost in the fog of your disjointed pontification. After a real-life break I'll try to oblige.

We probably have someone here who can translate that into English for you.

Enjoyed it gentlemen, you remain as witty and charming as ever.

My bad...I missed that amongst your usual Rachel-Maddow-like-I'm-just-so-darned-cleverfest.

Bringing suit in this instance does several things that may prove useful (in no particular order):

Several people can/will be deposed under oath, including several at the FAA, along with people from ATA (or whatever it's called this week) and other lobbying groups including representatives from UPS. Government agencies like FAA, NTSB, NASA and others keep detailed logs/records about visits. Along with FOIA requests, a civil suit gives additional legal access not normally available.

We can use this as a platform for lith batteries and fire suppression issues.

It puts a liability monkey on the back of FAA and ATA (or whatever they're called this week), which when coupled with the naming of names gained through discovery tends to make senior FAA types trying to keep their GS status intact into retirement amend their positions (the primary goal of ALL FAA types).

In particular, deposition/testimony by cornered FAA types will yield useful fruit in contract negotiations with UPS which should limit the negotiations capital used to try and improve scheduling rules should we live down to your all-knowing expectations. I assume you have experience dealing with the legal system, FAA, NTSB, etal given your certitude of our failure and the folly of even trying. Perhaps the EB needs to hire you as a consultant or court jester assuming you have no actual experience in any of these areas.

It is bad press for UPS, which they actually do dislike strongly.

Since you can't answer any questions on this I must admire your vivid speculation and admit that I was totally blind to the wide ranging effects this will bring as a crowning jewel of accomplishment.

It will no doubt be a panacea for all of our woes, I'll bet the FAA is running their shredders overtime right now in response to the threat.

How could I not see that this will be the third element of a mighty hat trick which includes forays into real estate, co-opting management into a union and now this-this stunning victory over the twin evil minions of management and government.

My hat is off Bob, thanks for showing me the light and carrying the fire!
