Southern Airs LOA includes a New 737 pay scale and 12 days off. Too good to resist. Plus concessions now, lead to pay raises later, as we all know has been proven to be true. Just look at the historical data. This is one big BOHICA. Thanks again ,may I have another Sir?

From what I have heard, Southern has furloughed over 120 pilots and they would need over 20 73's just to get their furloughed pilots back. There will be no upgrades anytime soon and they will be struggling to maintain their crappy pay come the next round of negotiations. There will be NO pay raises!!!
MR JT8D- You be smoking crack. They aren't even guaranteed the contract if they vote to pass the crappy loa. Why would anyone say they got a call about a recall? There are more furloughs coming next month. It's not looking good for them either way. No recalls anytime soon.. Period....

The current Southern 747 pay scale is not that far off from what DHL wanted from the ATI pilots. (10 percent pay cut max to achieve $90,000 Captain/ $60,000 First Officer). Probably a lot of Southern guys live in the Cincinnati area.

It`s all good. I started my post with a request for a verification of a news release, wasn`t provided. Following that was a request for sources of the far out rumours, also not provided. The response was your everyday deflection.
Oh well.
Good luck to whomever gets the flying.

I know why you're doing this (assuming you are an MD11 pilot in the dying AMC/charter market) but slamming the info provided doesn't change anything. If it wasn't for rumors, a good portion of the activity on this forum wouldn't exist.
Getting back on topic, has there been any hints of how the voting is going so far?

Very few Southern pilots live near CVG. I'd say the greatest concentration is south Florida.
