I'd say Southern has the deal locked up. Something always leaks out somewhere.

Congrats boys!!! Sounds like good flying for a long, long time out of CVG.

Voting is online by an independent company. I doubt that anyone would easily be able to monitor the results.

The general opinion on the SACG boards is too close to tell. As is the case on most online forums there are only a handful of the people that actually post. So that is probably not a fair representation.

Most crew members that I talk to are opposed. Their opinion is based mostly on a lack of trust with management. The last CBA negotiated while in bankruptcy was perceived as being rammed through with absolutely no purpose other than to scr*w the crew group. It was passed on management's proviso that it was necessary to save the company. That being said, in general the crew's sentiment is that the 737 LOA, once again being sold as necessary to save the company, will be further perverted into creating some level of indentured servitude.

There is a letter circulating that shows the bonuses that management received during/after the bankruptcy. That will not set well, since the taking of concessions was obviously accomplished only by the crews.

I have seen tough times at SAI. In the past, previous management would work hard and do anything to keep the aircraft moving. They made it work with TWO aircraft. The current management only wants to get married to DHL. They seem oblivious to the concept of diversity.

Picking up such a low margin operation like the DHL 737 operation could actually prove to be more of a detriment than not having it.

The TA will not pass, by a few votes. Then 2-3 weeks later, there will be another vote, on the same crummy contract, and it will pass by 70%. Just like the last vote in November.

My question is if it only passes by one vote, will it go out for a re-vote?

Just stop talking. There's no way to know what the results of the poll will be. Go troll elsewhere.

I think that was a shot at sarcasim on JT8's part without the rolly eyes.

An antidotal observation. A few days ago, my crew and I road out to the airport with four SAI 777 crew on their way to Hong Kong from OBBI. Of the four, only one seemed like he was for the deal, "...you know, for the furloughed guys." He asked me what we (ATI) did not like about the deal. I told him flat out "Cause it sucked. Nuff said." The other three guys just chuckled.

Nuff said.

Oh well.
Good luck to whomever gets the flying.
Cut NCRDxr some slack, he's a good guy. Like someone else said here somewhere... "Great job in a Crappy indusrty". NCRDxr is just like us, trying to make a living in this crappy industry.

It is no bull. Southern did call the guy and told him he'd be in class this fall.

Considering the vote doesn't close for another three days, there's still no way of knowing. Now is Southern management stupid/conniving enough to make that phone call? Yes.

A phone call to one guy means nothing.

Sincerely hope it does not pass.
