Fdx-hats

Interesting posts by some folks, as for me-if the dishes have to be done, I do the dishes....just part of what I think being a grownup means.
I have to go buy a new hat, and look like a dork in the AOC until I can put it away and let it collect dust. Not going to "police" anyone for not wearing a hat, or their lanyard, or flying DPs while wearing their ALPA lanyard....because time's have changed. And actions that used to be common practice, are now called creating a hostile work environment and get you fired or time off w/out pay.
Unions have been castrated by the man, fly to contract (aka no draft, no carryover, just fly your schedule) have been deemed illegal job actions in the past. Also amazing to me was the UAL 2172 case -- the I'm going to use the IMSAFE mindset as the FAA truly wants us to since I'm going to be furloughed again in a few months, so no reason to save sick leave when it's a contractually negotiated benefit.
Just one example of recent history.

Trying, but failing to post a pic of Jen from Horrible Bosses, she'd make that hat look good.
Shoot, might not even notice the hat with the white lab coat showing off that 40yr old bod like it does

So Kronan, are you trying to tell us the Union wants us to wear hats but can't call on us to wear an official uniform item because it would be considered an illegal job action?
As I have run out of sarcasm this will be my last post on this subject, but the logic escapes me. While an attempt at humor, my 1st post was serious in that if the union wants us to wear hats, tell us to wear hats. I think the lanyards, 2X pins are pointless but I wear them.
The company will settle when they want to settle, we have nothing they want except PBS and they know they cant get that. So here we sit for 2 or more years and I figure I could lose 8 hats in that time frame.
I vote for Parka Fridays to really show unity (and **** them off). Plus it is something we cold wear to show unity while running around Memphis in shorts and flipflops without looking stupid .

But you might want to try Marley & Me and you can cry for a dog.
Or you might prefer Jen and Paul Rudd as a couple who stumble upon a free-love commune in Wanderlust.
Or, you can pretend to watch Alan Sandler while Jen lounges on the beach in Just Go With It.
Personally, I enjoyed her as the flower girl in Love Happens.
I'm guessing you're more a a Shirley MacLaine fan -- try Rumor Has It ...
You can hide your tears with a hat.

Crying in public shouldn't be an issue for most of them since you'll have to catch them on DVD, Xfinity-on-demand, Netflix, etc., etc.
