Fdx-hats

Fdxlag,
Just don't believe it's possible for you to run out of sarcasm.
To answer your question, to the best of my knowledge The Union is not telling/requesting we wear hats. Our Union has requested we wear lanyards, stay informed, and stay engaged.
That being said, wearing or simply buying a hat will give YOU a pretty good idea which team I'm just as it will mgt.
And surprisingly enough, out of that case law was an example of UAL pilots wearing or not wearing their hats based upon an MEC light switch photo as indicative of just how much support/control the UAL MEC had over pilot job actions.
So, just wanted to point out to other posters that times have changed from the glory days of unions. Hopefully we've all heard about the pilot who was using vips to look up phone numbers of DP flyers and calling them to point out the error of their ways
If wearing a parka on Friday is your way of showing unity, right there with you Brother. Parka's at home right now, so it'll be October before I show up properly equipped

Isn't getting a hat just showing our leadership, our fellow pilots and the company that we are getting prepared to walk informational or strike picket lines? Given the concessionary nature of negotiations it's only natural to be getting prepared.

In the context of "major airline," everything that is not a major airline is second string, B-team. We're not in the military, at a regional, or in corporate aviation anymore. We all are here because we wanted to be, we trained hard for it and we finally reached our goal of flying for a major airline. So be proud of that.
